Franchise Company Service Brands International Announces Leadership Changes For Mr. Handyman, ProTect Painters

FranchiseWorks.com:

Service Brands International (SBI), a privately held, multi-concept franchise company of home-service brands, announced leadership changes involving two of its franchise systems, Mr. Handyman and ProTect Painters. Other brands in the SBI portfolio include Molly Maid and 1-800-Dry-Clean, which are not affected by the announcements.

The changes were prompted by the resignation of Todd Recknagel, who joined SBI as the CEO and President of Mr. Handyman International in early 2003. Under Recknagel’s direction, Mr. Handyman increased its consumer sales more than 200 percent, and is now the largest employer of handymen in the world. Recknagel will remain in an advisory position and partner at Mr. Handyman to stay involved with high-level strategic direction of the company.

“I can’t begin to express how wonderful it has been to have spent these years building the Mr. Handyman brand and being an integral part of the growth of the franchise,” said Recknagel, noting that he will be moving on to pursue other career opportunities.
