Create Your Own Good Luck
Ever feel like you just need a little “good luck” on your side to do well in business. TechCrunch has a few ideas on how you can create your own.
As Wayne Gretzky says, “skate to where the puck is”. Don’t start a soft drink company competing against Coca-Cola. Start a company in a fast growing industry that has a wide, gaping hole in it. It’s not hard to identify those industries and holes.
Learn how to negotiate.
Nourish relationships. The size of your network increases your luck exponentially. But relationships take Time to nourish.
Passion. Luck will always follow your passion. Warren Buffett was, of course, extremely lucky that his passion was investing in 1950. But almost every passion can be used to make money if you have all of the above.

And, take time to clearly appreciate everyone who works with you, as you move through your own personal business adventure. Let people know you care about them and value having them in your corner. Acknowledge the help you get, the good advice, the direction. That act alone will come back to you in more ways than you’ll ever know, opening doors you can’t imagine, often at critical moments in your career. I have never seen it fail.

With so many home-based businesses to choose from, how can you choose which on will work best for you?
I’d like to offer you a few tips when choosing a home-based business:
You want to look for:
1- A business that is “plug and play”, meaning you can begin using it the same day you join
2- The business needs a pre-built landing page and website that will attract buyers
3- You need excellent support, in other words – someone to answer all your questions
4- You need a mentor who can help you “copy their success” quickly
5- You need your business to be in a “hot market”, selling products/services that are in-demand
If you find a business that meets these requirements, you should definitely have a serious look at it.
