Willy Theisen has good news and bad news for people looking for success in the franchise industry.
The man behind one of the biggest franchise success stories to come out of Omaha â€” Godfather’s Pizza â€” spoke on Friday to participants in the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce’s Midwest Franchise Seminar. He told them about his path through just about every aspect of business, from being unemployed to self-employed, a developer, franchisee and a franchisor.
That journey has been a profitable one, if not always easy. He half-joked that his idea of retirement is cutting back his work schedule to 70 hours per week.
“Franchising is an opportunity for success,” he said. “It’s not a guarantee. The only guarantee you have is that you’re going to have to work very, very, very hard.” Read on…
