For as long as he can remember, Blake Terry has wanted to be a restaurant franchisee. A few months ago, his hopes were realized, and now he spends his days keeping the dream alive.
“I can’t really say why getting into this business appealed to me so long ago,” said Terry, a 2009 graduate of Texas Tech’s well-known Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management program.
“I know I’m not a person who can sit behind a desk all day. I have to be hands on. When I wake up every day, I look forward to coming to work and putting a smile on people’s faces. And time just flies.”
Virtually every day is special to Terry since June 6, when he opened a Lubbock location of the Burger House, a quick-serve burger joint just off the intersection of 19th Street and University Avenue.
