A Pill To Cure Hangovers

By on December 13, 2011 in Inventions

KHOU.com:

The FDA has registered a new pill called Blowfish that the inventor claims almost instantly cures hangovers and all of their nasty symptoms.

The pill actually consists of two tablets that dissolve in a glass of water, much like Alka Seltzer. They reportedly eliminate hangover symptoms in 15 to 30 minutes.

The pills are said to contain 120 milligrams of caffeine—more than the average cup of coffee—a stomach-soothing agent and 1000 milligrams of aspirin.

“Aspirin tends to get absorbed better when taken with caffeine,” said Dr. Ron Gentry of Methodist’s Internal Medicine Group. “So those two things together tend to give a kind of rush of the aspirin. It’s very similar to some of the migraine headache cures.”

Fine idea for those occasional party over indulgers. But if you have a BIGTIME problem with alcohol..dudes and dudettes? Get thee to Twelve Step ASAP! It took me some years to ‘knock that one back’.. but it’s the lifesaving hangover cure – for many of us. Have a sane. sober season, everybody.
