Beauty Salon Franchise Defies Traditional Growth Model

PR.com:

Following a mutually beneficial partnership with Walmart to open locations within the retail giant’s high-traffic stores around the country, Seva, a new, fast-growing salon franchise, is rejecting traditional growth tactics such as strip mall storefront units in favor of opening “stores within stores” at national retail chains and inside U.S. airports.

This strategic expansion model allows Seva to benefit from built-in foot traffic in the thousands per week and significantly reduced marketing and advertising costs to drive return customers. Seva is a full-service spa franchise specializing in eyebrow threading and eyelash extensions, as well as facial hair removal, nail services and more.

“We’ve already sealed a deal with Walmart and have 21 salons operating in eight states, including one that recently opened in fall 2011 in the Indianapolis International Airport,” said Vas Maniatis, founder of Seva. “Now, we are looking for similar partnerships with other major discount department stores, cosmetic retail chains and airports to build our national footprint. It makes sense to place our high-demand service in a convenient setting where people by the thousands shop or travel everyday.”
