Moreland Signs Deal With British Franchise Association

Scotsman (blog):

Moreland Insurance, one of Scotland’s biggest brokers, has signed a strategic partnership with the British Franchise Association.

The alliance is regarded as an important development in the expansion of the Hamilton-based company, a member of the Willis Commercial Network, one of the world’s largest insurance intermediaries.

Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce president Maurice Logie, owner and director of the business, said the tie-up is a “significant progression” in its growth pattern and will allow the company – founded in Motherwell in 1964 – to exploit the full the potential of its connection with the Willis network.

Logie said: “Franchising has always been of great interest to me.

“We have supported the industry for many years and have done all we can to get behind important activities such as the BFA’s Scottish Franchise Week.
