Perak To Produce More Young Franchisees Entrepreneurs

The Borneo Post:

The Perak government plans to produce more young franchise entrepreneurs through joint efforts by the Perak Capacity Building Foundation (YBU), the Umno Youth’s Economic and Entrepreneurial Development Bureau (BePU) and the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA).

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said for this purpose, the YBU would provide a RM5,000 start-up capital to budding entrepreneurs through its youth entrepreneurial programme.

Speaking to reporters after launching the state-level 1Malaysia Franchise Tour here yesterday, he said through franchising, an entrepreneur, who bought a licence, could go into business by replicating a proven business system.

The event was organised by Umno Youth BePU with the cooperation of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, The Malay Traders and Industrialists Association of Malaysia (Perdasama) Muda Malaysia, the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry and the MFA.
