Chicken franchise Lenard’s is tackling the tough retail market with a new poultry supply process that is designed to improve efficiencies for franchisees.
The retailer has launched its first wave of the Easy Cuts process through 69 of its outlets across Australia and stores have reportedly benefited from an average two percent decrease in wage expenses.
Since the first rollout, a second wave of stores has now signed on to implement the system.
Traditionally franchisees have deboned and prepared whole chickens in-store every morning to make their range of chicken products. Easy Cuts has been developed in association with Inghams and improves efficiencies with daily deliveries of individually ordered, fresh, pre-boned chicken cuts direct to stores. Cuts are matched to the brand’s range of 150-plus, ready-to-cook chicken meals.
