‎ $1000 Competition For Young Entrepreneurs‎

Entrepreneurs between the ages of 14 and 27 are eligible for a business plan competition with a $1,000 first prize, sponsored the Rancho Santiago Community College District.

The competition is part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, an economic development effort of the district.

To qualify for the competition, young entrepreneurs must attend business seminars 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday from July 10 to Aug. 2. Classes will b3e at 2323 N. Broadway in Santa Ana. Speakers will include Ash Kumra, president of Tech Coast Venture Network and co-founder of DreamItAlive.com, and Tan Rezaei, founder of DiskClips.

Students who complete the seminar series can participate in the business plan competition Aug. 14. First prize is $1,000 and second prize is $500.
