Trendhunter:

Now here’s a way to make the most of bad weather: snow graffiti!

After London was hit by the worst snow storm in 20 years, a creative media solutions agency was quick to take advantage of the freshly lain canvas.

Agency Curb came up with this environmentally harmless idea to promote TV channel, Extreme.

They created over 2,000 snow tags, or ‘stamps,’ in 350 different locations around central London using laser-cut stencils. The snow graffiti was found in parking lots, mail boxes and on walls. Even Oxford Street was emblazoned with a huge, perfectly shaped Extreme logo in the snow.

This has NEVER been done in London before – mainly because it rarely snows – and we wanted to be the first to do it,” Anthony Ganjou of Curb said.

“So our team quickly hit the streets. By midday we had covered central London with the Extreme brand and had also turned a lot of heads. The feedback from people we saw in the streets was really positive.”

That is so creative! The actual logo in the snow may not last forever, but I’m willing to bet people will be talking about it even after it has melted away.

i am very thankful that we dont have that kind of problem here in my country, coz we dont have snow here, but we do have typhoon its normal in a tropical country like philippines, but for london that is a great idea and ihope they really control the snow coz it can also kill people, for Curb goodluck for the success of this new kind of business snow idea!!

On one hand that is a very creative and cool idea that yes…people will probably talk about long after it is gone, but it also goes to show that some people just have way too much time on their hands and money to be able to do something like this that is just going to get stepped on and eventually melt away.

it’s sooo good. cannot be imitated though because it loses the novelty . this is newsworthy. i wish i thought of that, damn! great job whoever creatively thought of this.

I heard that inhabitants of London are glad to stay at home. Work of some companies has been suspended because of a snowfall . There was a possibility to spend time with a family in snow-covered streets of London :-)
