Ideas Are Nothing Without Execution

By on February 22, 2013 in News

What is a good idea if you do nothing with it? It is still just an idea. It takes work to build a simple idea into a successful business.

So let’s consider that very first moment when you think it is a good idea to run your own show; you have read of these entrepreneurial heroes who create amazing ”overnight” success stories – and you think, ”I could do that”.

All you need now is the idea that will make the business simply slip into place. Ah, what a lovely dream. Sorry to bring you down to earth but businesses are 1 per cent idea and 99 per cent execution.

You still need that idea, though; without it you only have hard work.

Sorry i don’t agree with you, firstly the idea is the most important. The idea “in my opinion” is the problem, the solution is generally the easy part of the mix. The realization of the problem is the hard part of any invention. The ratio you define is inaccurate, it should be 90% idea and 10% physical work. Further more if the idea is very good then would be 99.9% idea and .1% work It is the idea that is the magical part. It is too bad that investors do not realise this. Kevin Olery of Dragons den does not realise this. That television show is suppose to be about new inventions, well he does not care he just wants to know what you profited in the last year before he invests. How are you suppose show what you made in the last year when your invention is brand new?? sheesh. Real investors should have the uncanny intuition of realizing what would be good prior to the introduction into the market place. Best regards, FREELANCE ENGINEER…
