Camping in the Trees: Tentsile Hanging Tents

By on March 12, 2013 in Inventions

Tents traditionally sit on the ground, a fact that my wife like’s to point out as why she won’t sleep in one. But I have a surprise for her: the Tentsile Hanging Tent is a tent that hangs in the trees like a hammock.

By employing tension forces rather than using poles, the most comfortable and flexible range of accommodation can be achieved for a catalogue of different uses in every environment.

As the tent is suspended above the ground, there’s no need to clear the ground of rocks, sticks and snakes before you settle down for a night of rest.

More photos after the jump.
