Many Lubbock teenagers make extra money in the summer by doing yard care, but not many of them let the customers have a say in what the fee will be.
Taylor started XYZ four years ago — the letters stand for Excellent service for your Yard by Zach — with the motto “We want you to pay us on what our work is worth,†he said.
He said he stops short of letting the customer determine the price. He has a price in mind for each job, and the customer gives a price for what he or she wants to pay.
They negotiate about any difference between the two prices, he said.
