Scarlet is the founder of Moms Wear Your Tees Social Media Marketing. She helps entrepreneurs find the exposure their businesses need through various social networking websites.

I recently asked her a few questions about her business and her inspiration behind it.

Tell us a little about what you do.

I basically provide exposure for other businesses to my social media networks. I recognize that not everyone has the time or inclination to develop vast function interactive networks so I help family friendly businesses get exposure to my family oriented followers. I also help other set up Twitter accounts of their own and manage them as well.

What inspired you to start Moms Wear Your Tees?

I wanted to be able to work from home around my children’s schedules. I just found something I was good at and decided to offer my services to others! I saw other people doing similar things and I thought, I could do that!

What separates you from the competition?

So many marketing services are so hard to afford. I understand that new startups and entrepreneurs often don’t have huge budgets. I provide bite sized services for reasonable prices.

Do you have any goals you’d like to accomplish over the next year or so?

I want my site to become better know for it’s small business directory so I am trying to get the word out about this new feature I offer that includes a tweet to my 11,000+ Twitter followers.

What do you enjoy the most about running your own business?

Being able to see what what I can accomplish. Feeling pride in what I have built and who I have helped.

The least?

That you never know just what the month will bring! But that can be the up side too!

What are some lessons your business has taught you?

I have learned that you must be able to adapt. You need to be able to access the success of your actions and increase actions in some areas and give up less productive areas.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I have a ton of free resources on my site to help small businesses with areas that many struggle with such as SEO and marketing tips. I do hope that everyone takes advantage of the free articles and shares them if they find them helpful!

Do you have any advice you’d like to offer fellow entrepreneurs who are just getting started?

Pick your website URL wisely. I wish that I had chosen one with my key words in it!

Use social media for growth. It is a fantastic way to reach new customers and interact with current ones.
