Siemens Stiftung is looking to spur innovation and has launched an international competition that will spotlight innovation and inventors.
“Whether you are a school, university, research institution, NGO, company or inventor, everybody in South Africa who has invented a technology solution to basic development challenges is invited to take part in the competition,” said Ulrike Wahl, managing director of Siemens Stiftung.
The competition is open to individuals and organisations and is divided into six categories: Water & Waste Water, Energy, Food & Agriculture, Waste Management & Recycling, Housing & Construction, Healthcare, and Information & Communication Technology.
