The art of shoes, of boots and saddles and fine leatherwork; the 27-year-old San Antonio native is now Winonaâ€™s only cobbler. â€œIâ€™ve been wanting to do something like this for a few years, really,â€ he said, his tall frame stooped over a custom welded shoe horn with a leather boot attached, scraping away an old welt â€” what the sole of the boot is affixed to.
