Tackling The Snow In Luggage Racks

It’s not uncommon to see SUV’s driving down the road with piles of snow stuck in the luggage rack right after a winter storm. So, two fourth graders created a solution and entered it into the Invention Convention for their school district, reports PhillyBurbs.com.

They call it the Roof Rack Scraper, a modified shovel-scraper that allows motorists to clear snow from every nook and cranny of a vehicle’s overhead rack.

“A lot of SUVs and cars have racks nowadays, and with a new state law that makes you clean off the snow before you drive, we created this, the Roof Rack Scraper, that helps you get all the snow from the rack,” April said.

The Roof Rack Scraper was April and Melissa’s submission for the school district’s 26th annual Invention Convention.
