If you’ve ever missed an event that you really wanted to attend but it was too far away or didn’t fit in your schedule, you’ll love this business idea by Deer Park resident Chris Watt.
Watt founded Kuwa Kuna, a “virtual event cameras†service. “Kuwa kuna†is Swaheli for “be there†and that’s exactly what his company offers – make sure people can be there for events that they would otherwise miss. On the computer, from wherever they are.
Watts came up with the idea of live-streaming events when he got married himself last October and his stepmother, Jenny Watts, filmed the wedding for her relatives all over the country to follow live on the Internet.
So Chris thought, “If you can do it with that camera, let’s find a camera that has really, really good reception.†He sat down with Jenny and they decided to make an actual business out of it.
