Business Offers Golden Opportunity

Seguin Gazette-Enterprise:

When the decision is made to sell some gold jewelry, there’s no shortage of businesses willing to buy it. With the rise in the prices of precious metals in recent years, gold buyers have proliferated. But how do you know what you have is being accurately appraised?

“There’s so much hanky-panky in gold jewelry,” says Leo Salinas. He and his wife Elsa opened their shop, Gracie’s Gold, at 632 N. 123 Bypass in September of last year, and they’re using state-of-the-art technology to make sure their customers get fair prices based on accurate appraisals.

“That gold doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to the customer,” Leo says. “We’re going to pay as much as we can.”
