With 15 years of gymnastics experience, both as a participant and coach, Karas looked for a way that she could develop a business that helped her use her talents. Her first thought was to open a gymnastic club, but a competitive analysis showed that this market was already saturated.
“So, I thought, what if I go to children instead of having them come to me,†Karas said.
That led her to pursue the idea of mobile gymnastics. The business plan went from loading equipment into her car to using a van. But she soon realized that even a van wouldn’t give her the space she needed.
Karas expanded her vision, and the size of her vision and purchased a 30-foot school bus. The bus was completely transformed into a bright green gymnastics and fitness center for children. Her business, “Bouncin’ Bus†was born.
Targeting children ages 2 to 6, Karas visits child care centers and preschool programs, attends special events, and stages birthday parties.
