A budding entrepreneur with a knack for thinking outside the box is looking to change the world – one business opportunity at a time.

Year 12 Saint Kentigern College pupil Carolyn Ding of St Johns, is undecided about her future career path but business seems to be calling her.

She was part of a national team of secondary students which placed second at the Global Enterprise Challenge on June 16.

“A lot of people would just go into the business world without any idea of what to do but because I’ve been given the chance to go to these different events I get a really good grounding.”

Massey University in Albany hosted the New Zealand Young Enterprise team which comprised seven students from around the country.

The 24-hour contest involved 2000 students aged 16 to 19 from about 140 schools worldwide.
