A New Way to Find Business Opportunities and Ideas

I’ve been blogging about business opportunities and ideas since 2001 and in that time we have posted over 26,000 different stories about people, from all walks of life and all over the world, that are engaged in their own unique businesses. Some of them have been smashing successes, while others have struggled in failure. While the lone business person going at it alone needs all of the promotion and exposure they can find, this site doesn’t exist primarily to promote small business people and their efforts. Instead, or focus is to bring this interesting business ideas to you.

I want you to read about a ice cream salesman in Connecticut and a carpet cleaner in Mexico City and pizza company in Johannesburg in the same span of time. I want their ideas and unique take on their business opportunities to meld and combine inside your mind, as you apply their ideas to your unique local opportunities. I hope that we do a good job of providing you with this service.

But something has always been not quite right. Somedays, reading the blog or the newsletter can be like drinking from a firehose. And heaven help you if you miss reading for a day or two while relaxing on vacation, because when you get back to your office, you’re most likely going to just delete my emails and skip the week old articles I’ve highlighted. With nearly 30,000 articles on the site, there has to be a better way to discover and connect with all of the business ideas and opportunities that might inspire you.

To help solve this problem, today I am rolling out a revamped business idea section on the website. As of right now, you can browse or search for business ideas at business-opportunities.biz/ideas/ and a page will be returned with links to relevant articles on the sites, books on Amazon and a few other helpful resources specifically targeted to the business idea you entered.

Each business idea page also links to other, related and sometimes completely unrelated business ideas. You can also search for two wildly different business ideas at the same time, and see what comes up. Try plumber and pizza business ideas for instance.

In the coming days and weeks ahead, I’ll be upgrading the section with better and more relevant resources and links. I hope that you get as much use out of it as I had putting it together.

Some random ideas to get you started: cleaning, lobbyist, calligraphy, employee training and doula.
