Why is Mark Cuban Backing this Haunted House?

Last year, on Shark Tank’s Halloween episode, Ten Thirty One Productions, an entertainment company specializing in horror attractions, scored the largest deal in the show’s history when Mark Cuban purchased 20 percent of the company for $2 million.

The company started out offering a Haunted Hayride in Los Angeles, based on the traditional Halloween-themed farmland excursions popular at pumpkin patches around the country but, “supersized the concept and put it on steroids, L.A.-style!”

Since the investment from Cuban, the company has expanded and now offers the Great Horror Campout, in dozens of cities across the country, where for $99, they promise you won’t get any sleep in your tent.

(Unless you yell the safe word: “I WANT MY MOMMY!” And then, all of the monsters will back off.)
