Soldierfit Launches Franchise Program Along the East Coast

Revolutionary Military-Inspired Fitness Center Now Offering Franchise Opportunities

February 25, 2015 – Gaithersburg, Maryland – Soldierfit, the nation’s leading military inspired fitness center, announced today its plans to expand its business along the East Coast of the United States with a targeted franchise opportunity. Soldierfit is a fitness organization based on military values that aims to educate its members on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Unlike other fitness centers, Soldierfit’s top priority is character building. Owner Danny Farrar is an 11-year U.S. Army veteran who launched the company with business partner David Posin in 2007. Since then, Soldierfit has grown to include multiple 10,000-plus square foot centers across Maryland. The fitness program encompasses boot camp classes, mixed martial arts, personal training and functional fitness.

“Soldierfit lives out the military slogan one fight, one team,” said Farrar. “We work with our members – we call them ‘troops’ – to help them be their best. Sure, the workouts will test you, but we are there every step of the way pushing you to be your best, never intimidating you.”

The franchise program, developed with the help of Chicago-based iFranchise Group, will initially be rolled out along the East Coast, with national expansion to follow. Immediate franchise expansion plans call for locations across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, targeting Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

“Just as we consider our Soldierfit members like family, we consider franchise owners to be family as well,” said Posin. “We are looking for partners who share our values of hard work and perseverance and we pledge to share our expertise with them. Together there is no limit to what we can accomplish.”

As part of its aggressive push into franchising, Soldierfit is actively engaging franchisee veterans, offering a 50 percent military discount for those who qualify. And this spring, Farrar and Posin will unveil an unprecedented contest for military veterans seeking to become franchise owners. Soldierfit is a member of the International Franchise Association’s VetFran community, a group dedicated to providing business ownership and job opportunities to veterans.
