Art And Wine Studios Now Offering Franchises

The Tennessean:

In the same way cupcakes and frozen yogurt stormed into storefronts across the country, Jamie McMillen hopes a painting craze will sweep the market.

McMillen and three business partners are opening a studio in Brentwood where customers can sip a few cocktails as they follow an instructor’s lead. It’s a social outing with an artistic bent and, so far, the concept has met with success in Williamson County.

“We anticipate being full,” McMillen said of the 13 classes to be offered each week. “Our competitors are full almost every single event they have.”

The Wine and Easel is the name of McMillen’s start-up, and the first studio is opening on Seaboard Lane in Brentwood. She expects five franchises to open in the next year.
