In the wake of the Great Recession, many people who are anxious about job security are choosing to be their own boss — with some entering the world of franchised business.
Franchise consulting firm FranNet this week will offer a chance for potential business owners to meet with nearly a dozen companies looking to open franchises in central Ohio.
The free event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Delaware campus of Columbus State Community College.
