IRS Demands Near-$1 Million Payment From Francorp’s Boroian

Donald Boroian, self-proclaimed to be one of the world’s most sought-after consultants in creating franchising chains, is once again being sought after by the Internal Revenue Service. On May 13, a Notice of Federal Tax Lien was issued in the amount of $939,623 for 1040 and 6672 payroll taxes for year 2006 and 2009. The notice demands payment stating:

“… we are giving a notice that taxes (including interest and penalties) have been assessed against the following-named taxpayer. We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid. Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of these taxes, and additional penalties, interest, and costs that may accrue.”
