Franchise Wire:
In these uncertain economic times, being able to control one’s own destiny is critical to new business owner Jay Henderson, a local resident of Laguna Hills. Earlier this month, Henderson opened a Grins 2 Go® mobile franchise business that specializes in event and portrait photography.
According to Henderson, the timing could not have been better. “When you work for a company, you have to accept a culture and management decisions; when you own your own business, you make things happen for you,†explains Henderson matter of factly. For self-motivated Henderson, the constraints placed by the executive committee or senior management make for lack of control of one’s own destiny.
Henderson, an army veteran with a successful past career in telecommunications, chose a franchise business since all the systems and processes and know-how are already created and tested. He believes that his success depends on hard work and his ingenuity in promoting the products and services. “I’m very excited that I am building something and influencing the outcome of its success.â€
