Booster Juice Jets Off To Brazil

Sherwood Park News:

Booster Juice has grown from its start as a little smoothie shop in Sherwood Park to more than 300 locations around the globe, including the upcoming opening of two locations in Curitibia, Brazil.

Dale Wishewan, president and CEO of Booster Juice, expects the new franchise developments to open in approximately three weeks and said this accomplishments marks another milestone for the growing company, which is celebrating its 12th anniversary.

The city has a population of approximately 1.8 million people and was viewed as a more beneficial opportunity for Booster Juice as opposed to larger centres, such as Rio de Janeiro.

“We thought it would be easier to gain brand recognition in a city of 1.8 million as opposed to cities of over 10 million,” Wishewan said. “It’s a quite common launching ground for concepts in Brazil. We thought it was a safe way to get our distribution underway and to get the brand recognized.”

It also doesn’t hurt that Brazil will be hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics.
