The Irons Group, a Sonic Drive-In franchisee based in Columbia, S.C., has purchased 18 locations around the Piedmont Triad. The stores changed hands on April 1.
The 7 stores in Forsyth and Guilford County were sold by Sonic Restaurants Inc. for $635,00 each, according to public records. Information on the other stores was not immediately available.
The Irons Group has been a Sonic franchisee since 1991. The company owns 19 locations in Columbia, S.C., and 15 locations in Lexington, Ky.
