Nando’s Chickenland plans to set up six new Nando’s Peri-peri Chicken restaurants this year.

Chief executive officer Mac Chung Lynn said this was part of the company’s expansion target to set up 50 restaurants locally and in Singapore by 2010.

“Of the six outlets, one each will be in Penang and Johor, while the remaining four will be in Kuala Lumpur,” she said after introducing its latest outlet at The Zon here yesterday.

Nando’s last month also opened an outlet at Plaza Pelangi.

“Both restaurants have been operating since last month and we have received quite good customer respose,” Mac said, adding that there were now 28 Nando’s outlets in the country.
