Business Wire:

Geeks On Call Holdings, Inc., a premier national provider of professional IT solutions to small business and residential customers through its trade name Geeks On Call, announced today a new partnership with child safety provider Ident-A-Kid through the Geeks On Call Endorsed Vendor Benefit Program and Ident-A-Kid’s Corporate Partnership program.

The Geeks On Call Endorsed Vendor program enables the Company to partner with other franchises to their mutual benefit. In addition to branding and networking opportunities, partners’ franchisees receive essential computer services at preferred pricing. Ident-A-Kid uses a state-of-the-art digital data acquisition system to produce its trademark ID cards for parents and schools. The cards provide law enforcement officials with current fingerprints, photos, and vital statistics in order to expedite recovery in the case of missing or abducted children.

Geeks On Call is committed to child safety, and has been active in the cause for 2 years. In 2006, it published the Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety, still available on the Company’s web site. In the summer of 2007, the Company commissioned a study, conducted by Harris Interactive Polls, regarding the ages at which children explore the Internet. The study found that children are being introduced to the Web at very young ages, in many cases under the age of 3.

Geeks On Call continues to search for ways to help protect children from predators and other threats, both online and off. The partnership with Ident-A-Kid is intended to provide technical support for its team members and to help the child identification company promote its services to parents and others involved in child care.
