Atlanta Great Clips Franchisee To Shave Head To Benefit Children’s Miracle Network

Market Watch:

Great Clips franchisee, Brenda Maslamani, challenges her staff and the community to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).

On September 20th, Brenda issued a challenge to her staff to raise $1,000 per salon for CMN. Minimum donations are $1 and every donor receives a CMN balloon with their name posted in the salon. In return, all donors receive $2 off their next haircut. If Brenda and her staff reach their fundraising goal by November 16, 2008, the stylist who raises the most money will have the pleasure of shaving Brenda’s head.

At first, Brenda’s husband and children were not too excited about the idea, but after reading information about Children’s Miracle Network and that 100% of all funds raised benefit local hospitals, they each contributed $50 to all three of her salons to get the ball(oons) rolling.

Brenda’s only concern with losing her hair, is the shock it will give her son Alex, an Air Force Technical Sergeant, who will be coming home for Thanksgiving after completing an eight year Tour of Duty overseas. Alex will surely understand, though, as he was in Children’s Hospital for nearly a month when he was just four years old.
