Pooch Service Sees Turnover Still Rising

Blackpool Gazette:

A Fylde business which helps look after pampered pooches is beating the current economic downturn.

Barking Mad in Wrea Green has reported a 10 per cent increase in turnover in the past 12 months.
Former civil servant Alison Gledhill has been leading the firm for four years and said this year is the best yet.

The 43-year-old took over as the franchisee at Barking Mad, Wrea Green, in 2004 and has seen it boom as people leave their dogs with host families when they go away.

There are more than 300 dog owners on her books and she sends dogs of all sizes to stay with Fylde families for up to a month.
