Mobile Pet Groomer Adds Tigard Franchise

Oregon Live:

A Tigard franchise of the Aussie Pet Mobile grooming service is among several that have opened locally within the past few months.

The California-based company is an in-home dog- and cat-grooming service operated from vans to bathe, clip and primp animals. Mike Wegener opened the Tigard franchise in July.

Lori Dahlin opened her Oregon City-based mobile in March.

“It takes conventional grooming and makes it more accessible to people who are busy or who don’t drive anymore,” Dahlin says. She added that some of her customers don’t want to have their pet at a shop for several hours.

Also in March, Tim Monaco opened an Aussie mobile in Lake Oswego and Rick Farnbach started one in West Linn.

Aussie Pet Mobile, named Entrepreneur Magazine’s top pet franchise for 2008, is the largest mobile grooming service in North America. Rates vary depending on the type of service and animal size.
