Cumberland Farms, Gulf Oil, Moving To New Location

Boston Herald:

Convenience store chain Cumberland Farms Inc. and its Gulf Oil LP subsidiary are relocating their respective headquarters to the same building in Framingham.

The MetroWest Daily News reports today that about 300 Cumberland Farms employees currently based in Canton and about 100 Gulf Oil employees now based in Newton will move to a 100,000-square-foot space in Framingham in May.

Rick Dery, chief marketing officer at Gulf Oil, says the two entities will be run as separate businesses but will share some functions, including payroll, legal services and information technology.

Cumberland Farms has about 1,000 stores in the Northeast and Florida. Gulf sells gasoline to nearly 2,400 franchisee-operated stations, including about 570 Cumberland Farms stores.
