A new franchisee has plans to revive the Beef O’ Brady’s restaurant off West State Road 200 with a target opening date of March 9 and accept applications for some 40 jobs at the eatery beginning Monday, Feb 16.
Corey Russell is the operator and one of a group of owners of the restaurant at 11100 S.W. 93rd Court Rd. in Triple Crown Plaza. Russell said he became interested in the franchise several months earlier, after his father-in-law went to eat at the restaurant and discovered it had closed.
Russell, 31, says he has much experience in the restaurant business and is returning to it after trying his hand in the construction industry for the past two years. He says he is cautiously optimistic despite the economic downturn.
“I’m definitely worried about the economy,†Russell said. “There are a lot of retirees out here and a lot of them have lost a lot of their retirement savings. Our goal is to have a fun, family atmosphere and good food for people when they do choose to eat out.â€
