Local Budget Blinds Franchisee Ready To Boldly Go Into 2009 Business Year

The News Journal:

While other small businesses are cutting back on training, Dale and Karen Lowman, owners of the local Budget Blinds franchise, invested in their business by attending the franchisor’s annual national convention in Orlando, Fla. with over 1,000 other Budget Blinds franchisees, their associates and vendors.

“Like many of my fellow franchisees, I see Convention as an investment in the health of my local small business,” said Dale Lowman, who owns and operates the local Budget Blinds franchise.

“The benefits of attending Convention far outweigh the cost of attending. The information we get at convention help us run leaner and smarter. It’s an absolute essential part of my annual business plan,” said Lowman.

“The theme, Boldly Go, was well-suited,” continued Lowman. “Our speakers gave us insight into what it takes to weather tough economic times.”

Barbara Corcoran, founder of the Corcoran Group, best-selling author and frequent contributor to NBC’s Today show; Vince Poscente, former Olympic speed skier and businessman; and John Boyens, author and business productivity expert addressed the franchisees. In addition, franchisees heard from the company founders and vendors.
