Bas van Lankvelt, COO of MEDIchair, North America’s largest and fastest growing Home Medical Equipment (HME) franchise operation, is pleased to announce that David and Kristin Courtney of MEDIchair Halton have earned the company’s 2008 Franchise of the Year Award.
In presenting the award, van Lankvelt pointed out that winning the corporation’s highest award of achievement requires an exceptional effort on the part of the franchisee, who must blend outstanding business acumen with MEDIchair’s core values of care, knowledge, value and customer service excellence.
“MEDIchair Halton had an outstanding year in 2008 and exceeded expectations in every category including exceptional business growth coupled with a gift for organizing significant community events. This included the Eighth Annual Veterans’ Appreciation Luncheon which served eight Veterans at the first luncheon in 2002 and welcomed upwards to 800 Veterans and guests last November. They also host an annual educational conference, which is attended by health care professionals from across Ontario and are very involved in many charitable community initiatives. Owners David and Kristin have also been generous in lending their knowledge and expertise to assist other MEDIchair franchises to achieve success in their markets.
They are very worthy recipients of the title Franchise of the Year.â€
