Bernama:

Leading franchise operators are among over 200 Malaysian service providers from 13 industry clusters that will take part in the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE) 2009 here in the middle of the month.

“The unique services forum will see franchises and franchisers in Malaysia vigorously pursuing partnership opportunities in high growth retail markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond,” said Malaysian trade commissioner in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Noraslan Hadi Abdul Kadir.

Key franchisers participating in MSE 2009, which runs from March 17 to 19 at the Dubai Airport Expo, will include Daily Fresh Foods, Marry Brown Fried Chicken, 1901 Hotdog, Forest Secret Sdn Bhd and Smart Reader Worldwide.

According to Noraslan Hadi, MSE was a timely response to the prevailing global economic climate and the overwhelming needs of growth in the Middle East and its surrounding regions.

He said there was an overwhelming need for premium professional services in the Middle East since the region had set out on an ambitious path of growth and diversification.

“Malaysia has an international reputation for services that offer substantial advantage in terms of quality, cost and expertise.

“Hence, strong partnerships between Malaysia and the Middle East in the services sector will be not only logical but also the most durable,” said the trade commissioner.

Besides the franchise cluster, other industry clusters to be represented at MSE 2009 are… here.
