New Pizza Franchise Will Cater To Families

The Arizona Republic:

America’s Incredible Pizza Co., a combination pizza parlor and amusement park, is entering the metro Phoenix market and hoping to challenge Peter Piper Pizza, Chuck E. Cheese’s and other family-entertainment centers.

The Springfield, Mo.-based company has leased 54,000 square feet in a former Walmart store at Third Avenue and Bell Road in Phoenix where it hopes to be open by late May.

Besides pizza, America’s Incredible Pizza offers bowling, miniature golf, go-kart racing, bumper cars and more than 100 games.

It’s an example of a handful of relatively recession-proof businesses, such as food stores, liquor outlets and entertainment venues, that are expanding in this tough retail market.

Like other family-entertainment centers, America’s Incredible Pizza caters to birthday parties, church functions and corporate team-building events in addition to walk-in customers.
