Bishops Barbershop Opens Maryland And Washington, D.C. For Franchise Sales

PR Newswire:

Bishops Barbershop franchises, cuts and colors for men and women, today announced that Maryland and Washington, D.C. are now open for franchise sales. The Maryland and D.C. launch announcement is part of Bishops’ North American growth strategy. The first Bishops opened its first shop in Portland in 2001, and now has six locations throughout the city.

“Even in today’s tough economy, the $55 billion hair care industry continues to thrive, and the Bishops franchise opportunity is built on a proven brand,” said Leo Rivera, founder, president and CEO of Bishops. “We look forward to establishing a strong presence on the East Coast by opening shops in D.C. and cities throughout Maryland. We work with our franchisees every step of the way to bring the Bishops experience to their local markets, so that they are building their own business and our mutual brand.”

Offering high-end salon quality at affordable prices in a fun, casual environment that features edgy artwork and posters on the walls, and music that is a mix of new and favorite tunes, Bishops fills the niche between national chains, mom-and-pop shops, and high-end salons for Generations X, Y and Z.

Customers enjoy the convenience of Bishops’ walk-in only policy, choosing from an a la carte menu of services that includes shampoo, blow dry, a variety of cut and color options, or even a hot towel shave, and those who are 21 and older are offered a free bottle of cold Miller High Life. KMS, Goldwell and Joe Grooming products, which can be found only at salons, are also available.
