South Florida Business Journal:
Burger King Holdings said its Canadian subsidiaries have sold 20 restaurants in Ontario to Heartland Food Corp. of Canada.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Miami-based company said the sale is part of its “ongoing strategic portfolio management.â€
At the same time, Heartland closed on the purchase of 14 previously franchised Burger King restaurants in Ontario.
Heartland is Burger King’s third-largest North American franchisee. It owns 257 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
