Chili’s Grill & Bar will soon occupy a corner spot in the Great Bridge Shopping Center.
The popular chain restaurant is expected to open July 23 in the shopping center at the corner of Battlefield Boulevard and Cedar Road. Workers in March began extensive remodeling at the 7,647 square-foot space, which used to house a Movie Gallery.
“My guess is that they’re going to do phenomenally well at that location,†said Dave Boyles, property manager with Stanton Partners, Inc., which manages the shopping center.
There are not a ton of Chili’s restaurants in the South Hampton Roads area. There is one at MacArthur Center in Norfolk, a couple in Virginia Beach, and one at Chesapeake Square.
