Schakolad Chocolate Factory co-founders and chocolateers Edgar and Bernie Schaked are traveling from Florida to keep Turkey Creek’s Schakolad open while looking for a new franchisee.
“There really is no chocolate store like ours,†Edgar said. Schakolad features chocolates made in-store in a European style.
“You can customize just about everything we make,†he added.
According to Edgar, some of the shop’s most popular chocolate sales come from an unlikely source: businesses.
“We help companies really stand out,†Edgar said. Schakolad can produce chocolate logos for use as marketing tools or for salesmen.
“It’s tough, you know, so what can you do to be different than your competitor?†Edgar asked.
