Dunkin’ Donuts Announces New Franchisee In Dayton, OH

Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s favorite everyday, all-day stop for coffee and baked goods, announced today the signing of a multi-unit store development agreement with Giant Oil, Inc. for the development of 12 restaurants in Dayton, OH. The franchisee’s plans call for one unit to open in 2011 and the balance within the next five years.

Giant Oil, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Basem I. Ali. The company is a multi-branded, multi-state petroleum jobber that has a diversified background in the retail industry, in management, ownership, and convenience store operations. Giant Oil, Inc. is headquartered in the Tampa Bay area.

In addition to the 12 units purchased by Giant Oil, Inc., Dunkin’ is still looking for new franchisees to develop a minimum of three restaurants in Dayton including the surrounding areas of Springfield, Tipp City, Middletown, Eaton and Lima. Dunkin’ Donuts’ development of the Dayton DMA is part of a steady and strategic growth strategy, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities across the country to help direct the company’s future growth.
