A Canadian businessman who put together financing that kept the Westover Hills development afloat in the early 1990s is working now to see that San Antonio-based Massage Heights moves successfully into Canada.
Company officials said they appointed Peter Thomas as president of Massage Heights Canada to oversee the expansion of the member-based message therapy company into that country.
The company’s expansion strategy calls for 125 Massage Heights franchises to open in Canada during the next five years. A news release said Thomas was scouting sites in British Columbia hoping to break ground on 20 locations in the next six months.
“We are thrilled that Peter Thomas recognizes the growth potential of our brand throughout Canada and will be able to use his extensive experience in franchising to spearhead our global expansion,” Massage Heights CEO Glenn Franson said. More.
