Smoothie King Opens First Pennslyvania Store In Philadelphia

Smoothie King, the originator of the nutritional fruit smoothie, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its first Pennsylvania store in Philadelphia on July 15 inside the food court at The Shops at Liberty Place at 1625 Chestnut St. The new Smoothie King, owned by franchisee Chris Whitaker, will offer shoppers over 80 delicious fruit smoothies and an array of health products, including energy bars, snacks and supplements.

“I’m thrilled to open the first Smoothie King in Pennsylvania, and delighted to introduce the Smoothie King concept in Philadelphia,” said Whitaker. “I’m excited to bring the health and nutrition of Smoothie King to the Philadelphia area.”

Chris Whitaker, who relocated to Philadelphia from Tampa, Florida, has a personal passion for living a healthy lifestyle. He became a Smoothie King franchisee because he wanted a business opportunity that would not only provide a fun environment, but one that would also promote healthy living.
