Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Expands To Newport, Ohio

Bizjournals.com:

A former mortgage broker is opening a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s restaurant in Newport, Ohio.

Franchisee Tom Drennen is doing a complete retrofit to open the Monmouth Street eatery by the end of the month. It is taking over a space once occupied by KB Toys, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December after closing many of its locations.

The 4,000-square-foot restaurant, including a party room, will seat about 145 people and employ 35 to 40.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is less expensive than Applebee’s and more family friendly than Buffalo Wild Wings, said Nick Vojnovic, president of the Tampa-based chain. The average Beef’s check amount is $10.
